The Team

The team consists of engineers - specialists who apply the research undertaken to obtain new products and to improve the existing ones, in accordance with the legal requirements imposed by the EU and / or the Romanian state, while also promoting excellence in each aspect through expertise, efficiency, attention to detail and passion, all these being the key to the company's development.

Research and Development

Vision - Activity

Achievement of new products, evolved and adapted to the needs of the farmer and the changes imposed by the new agricultural techniques, introduced species and agricultural, environmental, community and national policies.

Directing research and development activities to meet the needs of customers, thus becoming a reliable partner for our employees and not just a simple fertilizer producer.

Supporting the responsible use of the mineral fertilizers we produce in order to improve the long-term soil fertility in Romania, which leads to the growth and development of plants through increased nutrient input.

Dep. Activity R&D also includes the process of elaboration and drafting of the technical documents related to the products manufactured in Azomureș S.A., based on EU law, European Regulations and Directives, as well as on the basis of national law.

PROJECTS IN PROGRESS

AMMONIUM NITRATE WITH KIESERITE

Ammonium nitrate with kieserite is used in agriculture as a mineral nitrogenous fertilizer, being a substance that has residual acidification effect similar to ammonium nitrate. It is used for phase completions on all soils including alkaline ones, especially for field crops (agricultural and horticultural) with higher consumption of sulphur, and / or those with larger plant mass, ie larger photosynthesizing surface. Kieserite is a natural rock - natural magnesium sulphate - water soluble, environmentally friendly, which enriches the sulphur and magnesium content of the fertilizer.

FERTILIZER OF UAN + S LIQUID TYPE (UAN WITH AMMONIUM THIOSULFATE)

The liquid fertilizer UAN + S is used in agriculture for grain cereals, technical crops, stubble. The benefits of using liquid fertilizer UAN + S are agrochemical, agronomic and technical-economic. Following the application of the fertilizer, the nitrogen / sulphur (N / S) interaction is positive, contributing essentially to the complementarity of the roles and effects of the cations, with the forecast of significant quantitative and qualitative effects on the crops.

The UAN + S fertilizer is included in all fertilization systems as a phased, additional fertilizer, having the role of urease inhibitor and nitrification.

IMPLEMENTED PROJECTS

COMPLEX FERTILIZERS WITH POLYSULPHATES

Complex fertilizers enriched with water-soluble sulphur, potassium, calcium and magnesium. Polysulphates are a natural raw material, rich in multiple nutrients, suitable for all types of crops and soils. It is a triple sulphate of potassium, calcium and magnesium, 100% soluble.

The introduction of polysulphates in the composition of complex fertilizers, enriches the content of active substance by effective and bioavailable intake of K, Ca, Mg and S. They have a neutral pH, they do not contain other secondary substances with negative chemical and biological impact.

Without determining some losses of active and useful substances to the soil-plant environment, they have reduced chlorine (Cl) content, with a susceptibility to crops sensitive to this element.

COMPLETE FERTILIZERS WITH KIESERITE

Some of the well-established and balanced types of complex NP and NPK fertilizers have been enriched with sulphur (S) and magnesium (Mg), extracted from Kieserite (natural magnesium hydrate sulphate, water soluble).

Kieserite contains 55% soluble SO3 and 27% MgO. The range of fertilizers obtained and promoted for agriculture highlights the role and effect of sulphur and magnesium, increases the effect and enhances the essential elements held (NP and NPK).

The complex fertilizers enriched with sulphur and magnesium extracted from Kieserite, are the best choice for basic fertilization in crops that need sulphur, respectively rapeseed, sunflower, sugar beet, vines, vegetables, fruit trees but also to cereal grains for use in bakery

Fertilizers Europe

Fertilizers Europe is the Fertilizers Association of Europe.

The fertilizers industry is a key element in the European agricultural sector. By maintaining the quality of this industry, we ensure the quality of the products, pursuing a positive future for the European food industry.

Fertilizers Europe cooperates closely with producers, with farmers' organizations and other actors in the food production chain to develop a coherent approach to Europe's agricultural, environmental and economic challenges and to promote best agricultural practices within the agricultural community.

For the purpose of PRODUCTS INNOVATION, fertilizers producers in Europe are continuously improving their products and processes by focusing on new fertilizer compositions and structures, as well as application technology, to allow a better crop nutrition.

The products are increasingly oriented to specific crops, offering a variety of release profiles and taking into account more and more limited resources, such as water.

The new Regulation on fertilizing products must maintain the quality of fertilizers in Europe, which is achieved through:

    Ensuring that fertilizers on the EU market demonstrate high agronomic efficiency;
    Ensuring that European farmers have a wide range of products;
    Harmonizing the single market and avoiding the creation of national markets;
    Promoting innovation by limiting administrative barriers.

GLOBAL WATER SITUATION

Water is an essential factor for the balance of the environment and human health. Under its many forms, the water, represents one of the most important elements of the geographical landscape - both for direct human use and for the normal activity of the biosphere, being indispensable for human survival and well-being.

From the surface of our planet, of 510 million km2, the water represents 71% and the dry land 29%. The total volume of fresh water is only 3.5% of the world's water. Only 0.3% of the volume of fresh water worldwide can be used directly; the rest of 99.7% steal immediate use by humans.

In agriculture water is the most important factor, the consumption being 65%, the man wanting to expand irrigation for all regions with agricultural alimentary deficit. Traditional irrigations have been replaced lately by modern ones that want to protect the environment. As the process of urbanization and development of the industry increases, more reservoirs and water additions are needed. In recent years, there has been a decrease in water tanks and the level of groundwater depth in irrigated agricultural regions.

Experts believe that the lack of water, and not the global warming, will be the great test of humanity in the near future.

Azomures offers the farmer the optimization of the water consumption through balanced formulas of fertilizers that lead to the reduction of this resource.

INNOVATION

The innovation is one of the main pillars on which we support our strategy, thus ensuring competitiveness and guaranteeing the sustainability of our activities, thus contributing to the development of agriculture.

The goal of sustainable agriculture is to produce food efficiently and productively, preserving and improving the environment.

In this scope, AZOMUREȘ orientates its activities in order to obtain more efficient fertilizers through non-polluting processes, using natural and environmentally friendly raw materials and modernized technological installations.
